Halloween – The Perfect Time For Your Creative Imagination!

The night of Halloween is a popular festivity celebrated all over the world. We often describe this as the scariest, noisiest, funniest and quite horrible night of the year. It is celebrated during the last night of October. Many people wear different kinds of costumes that put them into characters. Such characters include monsters, ghosts, witches, fairies, elves, and other supernatural creatures. But aside from this basic information, many people don’t know about its origins.

Halloween basically came from Europe. The Celts were the first people who celebrated Halloween. They originally came from Central Europe but later on, they migrated and settled to different places the entire world. For this reason, many countries celebrate this festivity, such as the United States of America, Rome, Ireland, and many others. The Celts believed that when this day comes, the poltergeist would visit their homes, capture their bodies and take their food and other possessions. To avoid such incident, they scare the evil spirits by making a lot of noise, building bonfires, and wearing different masks. These masks should be scary, spooky and creepy to drive them all away.

Now, in our modern era, Halloween is widely known as the time for “trick or treats”. Kids either wear funny or scary costumes or move around the neighborhood to get some sweets and candies from other people. This is one of the oldest events and the second most popular of the year. The adults, however, have their own time when the night parties begin. Others use this night as an opportunity to flaunt their figures in skimpy and sexy costumes.

The first store selling Halloween costumes appeared during the 1930s. These costumes became so famous due to the influence of some Hollywood movies and cartoon characters. Many people disguise themselves as the blood-thirsty Dracula, Superman, Batman, Catwoman, and many other fictional characters.

This time of the year is indeed very fun! You can socialize with other people. You can also free your mind from all the stress and let your imagination work. It is the perfect time to escape from reality and enter another world!

Labor Day Celebration

Labor Day is being celebrated in most parts of the world. Countries have their own specific date for them to celebrate their Labor days. As for the Americans, they celebrate their Labor Day every first Monday of September.

The first ever Labor Day that was celebrated in the United States was back in September 5, 1882 which was held in New York City. The celebration is all about the commemoration for the workers who died at the hands of the US Military and the US Marshals in the Pullman Strike in 1894. During the term of President Grover Cleverland, he made Labor Day a national holiday for the Americans. Since then, it is being celebrated every year.

Things to do

There are so many things we can do during the Labor Day. Workers are off and it is a Monday, so we can expect a three day weekend vacation from work. We can enjoy picnics with our family along the park. It will be a very enjoyable thing to do. We can take the kids out and just enjoy the lazy afternoons sitting on the park and play some outdoor activities.

We can also do barbeques at home. We can grill chicken, fish, and anything we like. We can invite our friends to come over and join us for the celebration. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy during this day before going back to work the next day. Make the most of the break because there can be only a few of these in the U.S.

If we want to really enjoy the three-day off, we can try going somewhere out of town and spend the whole weekend with our family there. It would be a very good way for us to really relish the three day break. It is also a way for us to unwind and relax before we engage back with our jobs again.

Camping can be a very good idea as well. Consider going to camping sites within the first two days. You can enjoy your time with your family, and still have a day to rest after. The kids will definitely love camping. It will also be a good thing for you to escape from the busy life out in the city for a while.

Sexy Halloween Costumes

Costumes are almost important as the holiday itself, when it comes to Halloween! This is perhaps what you think too, if you take your Halloween parties seriously. And what’s a Halloween party without people decked up in all sorts of lovely costumes? Indeed there is now an industry which runs on the demand for costumes for this occasion on the last day of October, you so eagerly await every year. Perhaps you plan for your costume months before Halloween and why not; they have to be the best! If you are planning a party with your friends this year too, why not try some sexy Halloween costumes to raise the temperature!

Well, Halloween is definitely the right time to express your wild side and let your imagination run free. If you have played it safe at all costume parties to date, this may be the time to experiment and try a risque costume for a change. If you are sure that a bit of fun will not be out of place then these costumes can be the best bet to flaunt your figure and bowl over the handsome man you have appreciated for a long time!

Of course you need to be in good shape to be able to slip into a skimpy costume, but once you do, get ready to cause major mayhem at the party. If you are afraid that your beau may not appreciate the sexy Halloween costume, you may be wrong. Most men have fantasies of their own and you can be even more appealing to your partner if your costume manages to tickle his fancy.

And what are the options available to you? Well, lots to be precise. You can try the schoolgirl costume modified with lower necklines and higher hemlines. Team up a white shirt with a skimpy checkered skirt and you can start the magic! Any discussion about this kind of costume must include the nurses and cheerleaders as well. After all they are what most men fantasize about. So, try a nurse outfit or a skimpy cheerleader outfit that reveals as much (or perhaps more than!) as you want to show. Do this and you will understand why men rate nurse and cheerleaders higher than doctors and sportspersons. If you are willing to be really bad, a sexy witch or dominatrix costume can help you bring down the house. If you think that these costumes are too risque, you can even try cowgirl, Cleopatra or belly-dancer costumes.

France Victory Day

France’s Victory Day: May 8, 2010 Victory Day is a public holiday in France.

Every year, France marks the end of the Second World War on the 8th of May. While there is no universal agreement as to the official end date of World War II, France considers May 8, 1945 as the official end of the war which marks Germany’s formally surrender to the Allied Forces.

History of France’s Victory Day Germany’s act of military surrender was signed in two occasions: one in Reims, France on May 7, 1945 and in Berlin, Germany on May 8, 1945.

The act of surrender was initiated by Adolf Hitler’s successor, Germany’s head of the Germany’s government, Karl Dönitz, after the former allegedly committed suicide on April 30, 1945 while the German armed forces are in the middle of fighting in the Battle of Berlin.

The leader of the Free French Force, Charles de Gaulle, announced the end of World War II on May 8, 1945 followed by the ringing of church bells across France. Celebrations took place afterwards especially in Buckingham Palace in London where the crowds are greeted by the then Elizabeth I, King George VI, and Winston Churchill, who was the then prime minister of the United Kingdom from October 26, 1951 -April 7, 1955.

France passed March 20, 1953 law number 53-225 to adopt May 8 as the official date of celebration of Victory Day. Victory Day’s official public holiday status was removed in 1975 but was reinstated on October 2, 1981 through the law number 81-893.

The difference in the celebration between France and Moscow (where the latter celebrates Victory Day on May 9 instead of May 8) is based on the fact that Russia is located East of Germany and it was already May 9 in Russia when Germany surrendered to the Allied Forces. France’s Victory Day: Traditions, Customs and Activities France celebrates Victory Day with public parade, speeches, and ceremonial luncheons. Educational institutions set aside this date to discuss the horrors and lessons brought by World War II. Apart from taking part in parades, some people also attend church services with sermons or topics dedicated to the fallen heroes of the Second World War.

During the holiday, people display national flag in front of their homes including private and public buildings. It is also during this time when people sing patriotic songs in the street. Local politicians also hold ceremonial speeches and conduct wreath-laying in war memorials across the country.
